RUPERT - Floyd Daniels Jr., 75, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness. Born Feb. 14, 1926, in Lomansville, Ky., he was the son of the late Floyd and Alta Fairchild Daniels. Mr. Daniels was a retired heavy equipment operator who was employed by Lakey Coal Co. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Amwell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Macel Mae Gilkerson Daniels, on Dec. 2, 1998; and three brothers, Nile, Glenville and Paul. Survivors include three sons, Gary Daniels of Rupert, Denzil Daniels of Newark, Del., and Roy Daniels of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Anna Lee Renfro of Louisville, Ky., Flora Beatrice VanHoose of Columbus, Ohio, and Ollie Webb of Morehead, Ky.; a brother, "Guss" Daniels of Columbus; five grandchildren, Mike Daniels, Lisa Nunn, Tanga Daniels, Kimberly McFadden and Jamie Daniels; and a great-grandchild, Gregory McFadden. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Amwell Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle. Arrangements by Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle.
