Daisy was born on August 4, 1929 in San Antonio, TX to Lee and Daisy Hagman Moravits. In the San Antonio newspaper she saw a picture of a young man who was president of the "Tall Club" at Trinity University and decided to attend the next meeting on the River Walk. That meeting was the "height" of her life as it was where she met Mike Keppler, Sr. They fell in love and were married on December 19, 1948. To this union were two children Mike Jr. in 1957 and Margaret Ann in 1960.
Daisy was an avid genealogist and a proud member of The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Retirement allowed Mike and Daisy to pursue their passion of traveling in their pride and joy, their RV. They traveled to almost every state of the union and every province in Canada experiencing many of God's natural creations and national shrines.
Daisy is also survived by her sister Patricia Pruitt, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Sept. 4, 2013 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop. Funeral Service with Holy Communion was Thursday Sept. 5, 2013 at Calvary Episcopal Church with interment to follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, TX. The Rev. Roland Timberlake officiated.
