EDGAR RICHARDS SR., 73, of Tampa died Saturday. A native of Plant City, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired employee for the city and Baptist. He is survived by four sons, Edgar Jr. of Jacksonville, N.C., and John Rodney, Joseph Edward and Anthony Travis, all of Tampa; three daughters, Shirley Brooks of Las Vegas, Linda Byard of Lakeland and Marla Diane Sumner of Zephyrhills; a sister, Maybell Fritz of Tampa; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
