--Son of James Franklin Henry and his first wife Sarah Carolina Reece (1833-1854). James F. Henry married again and his 2nd wife was the sister of his first wife.
--Occupation: Farmer in Iredell County in 1880. He was a Wood Dealer in Cabarrus County in 1900. He operated a Livery stable in Cabarrus County in 1910. According to his great-granddaughter, he had electric lights installed in the stables before he had him put in his house!
--He married Catherine "Kate" Clark in 1876. They had 7 children: 1. James Elmer, 2. Rockwell Wilson, 3. Nannie Mae, 4. Clara Sarah, 5. Lester Frank, 6. Charles Aubrey, and 7. Troy Clark Henry.
