Obituary: SANDY HOOK -- Mrs. Elsie (Godfrey) Pierron, 73 of Shady Rest section of Hull Road, widow of Arthur Pierron, was found dead in her home Thursday. Police believe she was asphyxiated by the fumes from a gasoline-powered generator. A storm Wednesday had knocked out power to the house. Mrs. Pierron was born in Bridgeport, July 1, 1913, daughter of the late Joseph and Viola (Scott) Godfrey. She leaves two sons, John Kozak of Newtown and George Kozak of Sandy Hook; two daughters Mrs Gerald (Alice) Boyland of Waterbury, and Mrs. Frederick (Margaret) Wilson of Southbury; two brothers; three sisters; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Monday at noon in the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury. Friends may call at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
