Larry James Popejoy, 56, of Shiloh, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013, in Hogan Cemetery, with Brother Larry Dickens of the Church of Christ of Shiloh officiating.

Larry was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to James and Nelda (Wilson) Popejoy. While growing up, the family moved between several towns with his father's work. He graduated from high school in Carrollton. Larry worked some in Dallas at a pharmacy, and more recently worked at Parkview Hospital in Mexia, until he became disabled with health problems. Larry was a caregiver for his mother in their home for several years. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Shiloh.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, James Popejoy; and grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Nelda Popejoy, of Mexia; his sister, Linda Jones and husband, Bobby, of Groesbeck; four nieces; one great-niece; six great-nephews; and many cousins and extended family. N13
