Union City - John A. Reid, 77, retired taxidermist, died of a stroke Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home with burial in East View Cemetery here.
He was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ and a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Reid, the husband of Margueritte Jones Reid, also leaves four daughters, Beverly Whipple of Union City, Virginia Dee Bruer of Austin, Texas, Linda Smith of Bartlett, and Mona Lisa Owens of Green Bay, Wis.; two sisters, Annie Laurie Creswell of Potosi, Mo., and Lorene Thomas of South Fulton; a brother, Noah Lee Reid of Preston, Ky., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
