Melvin Pike Freeman, 87, Attalla, Ala, was a veteran of WWII, Pacific Theater, serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wisconsin. He was Past Master of Attalla Lodge NO. 383 F&AM and retired as a Brick Mason from Republic Steel. Deacon of Central Baptist Church and member of Cherry Street Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Linnie Freeman; sister, Virginia White; brother, Wm Freeman; granddaughter, Christine Colegrove. Survivors, wife of 70 years, Marian B Freeman; children, Linda Quinn, Jane O'Neal, Danny and Wayne Freeman; grandchildren. Funeral services with Masonic Rites.
