Bertha M. Wasson, 86, of Versailles, widow of William Ried Wasson, died on her 86th birthday, June 26, 2000. Born in Bath County, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Myrtle Horseman Robinson. She was a member of the King's Way Assembly of God Church in Versailles. Survivors are two daughters, Marlene Simpson of Versailles, and Joyce Beck of Waverly, Tenn.; four sons, Billy Wasson of Washington, Jimmie Wasson of Tekax, Yucatan, Mexico, Carl Wasson of Cynthiana, and Jerry Wasson of Carlisle; a sister, Ola Conyers of Carlisle; a brother, Clell Robinson of Mt. Sterling, 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; and 8 step-great grandchildren. A son, Woodie Wasson, a brother, three sisters, three grandchildren, and a great grandchild, are deceased. Burial was in Versailles Cemetery.
