Douglas L. Neidlinger of Bainbridge

Douglas L. Neidlinger, 87 of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta. He was born April 23, 1923, son of the late Otto and Emma (Puffer) Neidlinger in Bainbridge, NY. Doug graduated from Bainbridge Central School, Class of 1940. He served his country in the Untied States Air Force during WWII. Doug married Joan on March 20, 1954 in the Bainbridge Presbyterian Church. Doug worked for NYSEG for 34 years. He was a mechanical tester when he retired in 1984. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge. Doug is survived by wife, Joan Neidlinger, Bainbridge; two sons and daughter-in-laws, William and Marie Neidlinger, North Afton, NY, Nicholas and Bonnie Neidlinger, McKinney, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Robert Fleming, Guilford, NY; brother, Otto Neidlinger, Bainbridge, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Thomas Elliott, Johnson City, NY; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Frederick and Earl Neidlinger.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bainbridge Fire Dept. and Emergency Squad. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney.
