John Crook Love was the son of John Love and Ruth Crook. He married Flora Campbell on December 27, 1803 in Stokes County, North Carolina. They had 12 children, Nancy, Archibald Campbell, Esther Evans, John Newton, James Madison, Milton Douglas, William Crook, Harry Allen, Jane Elizabeth, Ruth Caroline, Jeremy Parkhurst and Abraham Howard.


The headstone for Archibald Campbell Love states that it is believed that he is the only Love interred in this cemetery. However, in the late 1960's, a Love relative did extensive research and travel and his records state John Crook Love is buried here. The cemetery has suffered extensive vandalism so it is possible John is buried here and his grave is unknown. If you can provide any further information, please feel free to contact me.
