John W. Taylor, 84 of 1673 S. Gilbert St., died at 4 a.m. Monday [Feb 15 1982] at St. Mary's Medical Center.
A member of Bethel Temple, he was a native of Perry County. He was the son of Thompson Dorsey Taylor and Mary Ann Miles and was one of 9 children who all lived to adulthood and marriage.
Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Ann Risley; a daughter, Mrs. Anita Schelhorn of Clarksville, Ind; a son, Jack of Frankfort, Ind; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral home East Chapel, the Rev. R.R. Schwambach officiating, with entombment in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
