Danny Beard, age 70 of Albany, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 18th in the Albany Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Stovall officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 17th at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Lloyd Daniel Beard was born March 6, 1943 to parents Lloyd Beard and Dealous Rushing Beard in Stamford, Texas. Danny grew up in Albany and later graduated from Albany High School. Danny first worked as a mechanic and later owned and operated Danny's Welding. He worked in pump and field supervision for over 50 years. He worked with Dahab Energy for the last 17 years. He loved to fish and spend time with his children. He loved animals. He also loved attending his grandchildren's activities and sporting events. He was a hard and dedicated worker and was honest and trustworthy in everything that he did. He was very ornery and loved to aggravate others to make them smile. He made a huge impact for the better on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren, family friends and his dog Otis. Danny was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Chan Conkle.

Danny is survived by one son, Chris Beard & wife Susie, one daughter, Dannette Michelle Beard Sattler and friend Reda Smith; two sisters, Judy Beard Conkle and good friend Tim Willis, and Lila Beard; three grandchildren, Allison, Abbigale and Tyler Beard; special friends, Brent, Cynthia, Weston & Braden Jones and Sherry Beard.
