Mrs. Mary Jane Sykes, 73, of Rt. 1, Monroe, died early Wednesday morning at her residence after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of West Monroe with the Rev. Grafton Yates officiating.
Burial will be in Delhi Masonic Cemetery under direction of Spears Funeral Home of Monroe.
Survivors include three sons, Joe Sykes and Curtis Sykes, both of Monroe, and Bobby Sykes of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Cammie Jean Mooney of Tallulah and Mrs. Dorothy Wininger of Monroe; [four] brothers, A. B. Cupit, Cammie Cupit and Felix Cupit, all of Baton Rouge, and R. L. Cupit of West Point, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Ela Barton of Oak Grove, Mrs. Bertha Sykes of Baytown, Tex., and Mrs. E. A. Walker of St. Joseph; 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the funeral home until one hour before services.
