2nd wife of General William McAlevy.

General McAlevy's second wife was Mary Hays, who lived only about a year and left no children. The only incident that is remembered concerning her is that she became blind and that when they had to flee through fear of the Indians the General took her over Stone Mountain on what was called a slide car, as wheeled vehicles were not in use and could not be used there in that day.
