John B. Adams, 71, of 204 Church Road, Lititz, died Tuesday evening in Hershey Medical Cenetr where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late Oscar and Alice Buch Adams and husband of Luella Pipgress Adams.
He was employed as a shoe last sorter for the Ephrata Shoe Co. for 42 years before retiring in 1973. He was a member of the company's 25 Year Club. He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Patricia, wife of Harold A. Shiffler, Leola; Alice, wife of Gary Q. Simmons, Claymont, Del., and Jane, wife of Michael L. Roth, Ephrata; three sisters: Virgie, wife of Thomas Horst, Stevens; Elizabeth, wife of John Good, Lititz; and Minerva, wife of Howard Young, Brickerville; three brothers: Harry Adams and Earl Adams, Lititz; and Wilson Adams, Fairmount Rest home; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter."
