ALICE - Funeral services for Pfc. Rudolph Melvin Stehle, 21, of Dilworth, who died on Saipan Feb. 21, 1945, from wounds received in the battle of Iwo Jima, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Dilworth Methodist Church. The Rev. J.J. Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Dilworth Cemetery under direction of Moyer Mortuary of Alice.
The body was returned here Monday.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Stehle,; two brothers, Otto and Milton, all of Dilworth, and two sisters, Freda Stehle of Boerne and Leona Stehle of San Antonio.
