Mr. William Turner Rickman, 82, of Crossett died Friday, October 15, 1999, at his home after a lengthy illness. Born April 23, 1917, to Peter Marion and Dovia Ellon McMillan Rickman in Crossett, he was an U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired mechanic for Chase Bag Company. He was preceded in death by a sister, Olivia Barbar. Survivors include his wife, Onie Lochala Rickman of Crossett; a daughter, Debra Rickman Balkcom of Macon, GA; two brothers, Joe Rickman of Vidor, TX, and Jack Rickman of Crossett; two sisters, Oledia Mann of Richmond, MS, and Edith Johnson of Crossett; and two grandchildren, Larry Ford of Warner Robbins, GA, and Richard Balkcom of Macon, GA. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 17, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Revs. Doyle House, John Martin and Tracy Boyd officiating. Pallbearers were James Edward Murphy, Larry Mann, Charles Langley, Lelan Johnson, Raymond Lochala, Terry Lochala and Clifton Tucker, Mac Lochala was an honorary pallbearer. Burial followed services at the Crossroads Cemetery
