Claire I. Santore, 88, of Derry NH, died Aug. 9, 2013, in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry surrounded by her loving daughters and caregivers. She was born in Lawrence MA on Nov. 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Herbert and Clara (Marchant) Demers.
Mrs. Santore had been a resident of Derry for the past six years, formerly living in Londonderry NH. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School in Haverhill MA. Claire "Mama" will be remembered as a warm and wonderful person and a kind and caring mother who loved life, laughter, and family.
She is survived by her daughters Marjorie Besson of Santa Monica CA, Virginia Roosevelt of Newport RI, and Melanie Cull of Monroe CT; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother Robert Demers of Seabrook NH; sisters Virginia McCarthy of Milton MA and Nancy Potvin of New Britain CT; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald D. Santore in 2008.
