Etta was born on Sept. 10, 1916, in Gridley, Kan., to Harry and Amelia (Kaufman) Neff.
Etta's first husband, Daniel Murray, preceded her in death, and she later married Frank Ferguson, who also preceded her in death in 1968.
She was a longtime resident of Sacramento before moving to Fallon, Nev., where she lived for eight years. Most recently, she moved to Springfield, where she moved in November of 2003.
Etta was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts, beach combing and singing. She also taught Bible study and was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Ontario, Ore.
She is survived by her son, Norman Murray of Lincoln, Calif.; her daughter, Theda Mills of Eugene, Ore.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Idlewild Cemetery on Tucker Road.
