Death came suddenly Saturday for Mrs. Hattie Ellen Peery, 70, at her home in McMinnville after an illness of only a few hours. She was a native Yamhill county woman, born at Dayton, Nov. 30, 1869. Mrs. Peery had been a resident of McMinnville for the past 23 years.
She was married to Milton Peery at Dayton in 1900. He died in 1928. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Parish and Mrs. Mildred Smith, both of McMinnville; two brothers, Joe Dorsey, Dayton, and Austin Dorsey, Waterville, Wis.; and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Belknap, Medford. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Macy funeral chapel. Rev. James Osborne of the Christian church officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial park.
