Michael is survived by his mother, Paula Lentz Corbett and step father Albert; his brothers Robert and Kevin Lentz of Wilmington; step brother Dr Andrew Corbett, his wife Virginia, and their children; Luke, Anna Grace, Ethan and Abigail of Richmond Hill, Ga.; A special aunt; Dr. Keleigh Howell (Chris) and their children, Skylar, Matthew, William and Jackson of Mt Laurel, NJ; and a most special friend; Jessica McKeithan of Raleigh, NC. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A 2001 graduate of Cape Fear Academy, Michael attended UNCG and was pursuing a degree in Computer Science at UNCW. He had an insatiable appetite for knowledge, was an avid reader and exceptional writer. A self-described "cynical pseudo-comedian", Michael was witty, highly articulate and had a flair for the dramatic. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends and could make all of us laugh instantly!
Michael will be greatly missed! A private service will be held on Monday, September 16. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences to the family Andrews Market Chapel Service.
