Michael Waits, 32, of Tahlequah, died on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at his home, while surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

He was born in Tahlequah on Dec. 31, 1980, to Michael Edward and Donna Michelle (Waits) Brave.

Michael grew up in Hulbert and graduated from the Hulbert High School. After graduation, Michael worked in the power line construction business until his health began to fail.

He married Larissa Presley in Tahlequah on June 2, 2009. He was a wonderful husband, father and a friend to everyone who knew him. Mike enjoyed mudding and four wheeling. He loved to go road hunting with his friends. He was considered the best dad and husband anyone could ever have. He loved to play dominoes, rum-my and farkle dice games.

He also enjoyed noodling for catfish and hanging out with his friends and family whenever he could get the opportunity.

One of his most favorite past times was wrestling and watching WWE, Smack Down and RAW wrestling on television with his kids and family.

Michael is survived by his parents, Michael and Donna (Waits) Brave of Hulbert; loving wife, Larissa (Presley) Waits of the home in Tahlequah; sons, Caden Benn Waits and Cameron Trice Burchett of the home; daughters, Taylor Rae Waits and Abigail Ann Burchett of the home; brother and best friend, Jared Garnatz of Hulbert; sisters, Ashley Denise Brave and Rebecca Marie Brave-Scott of Hulbert; and one nephew, Kristopher Michael Glenn of Hulbert; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at the First Baptist Church in Tahlequah, with Chaplain Bill Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Hulbert.

Pallbearers will be Steven Ballou, Michael Brave, Eugene Carey, Michael Clinton, Steve Fort, James Keener, Trice Presley and Dusty Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Garnatz and Jerry Morrison.
