Mr. McKinney was a 1981 graduate of Clinton Central High School, where he was active in football, baseball and FFA. He worked the past 15 years as a processing operator at Frito-Lay. He also worked for Crum farms. He farmed several years with his father and raised hogs and goats. He enjoyed helping children in 4-H.
He coached Little League in Michigantown and previously coached fifth and sixth grade football at Clinton Central. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and he previously attended Kirklin Christian Church. He played
softball several years and was an avid fisherman.
He was born April 14, 1963, in Clinton County to Ward and Mary Stowers McKinney. He married Linda K. Ray on October 20, 1984, in Kirklin.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; parents, Ward and Mary McKinney of Kirklin; one son, Colton at home; one daughter, Kristin at home; one sister, Mrs.Dave (Mary Ann) Biddle of Sheridan; and two brothers, Donny (Pam) of Kirklin and Gary McKinney of Kokomo.
Two nephews preceded him in death.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin.
