WINTERS -- Vivian B. (Granny) Smith, 89, of Winters, died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2005 in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Wynette Burson officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Winters Funeral Home.

She was born on August 27, 1916 in Calhoun County near Port Lavaca and grew up in that area. She married Luther Lee Smith on May 31, 1932 in Evant. They moved to Winters in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a waitress for many years. She was a member of Somebody Cares Ministry.

She is survived by: two sons and four daughters, Luther Lee (Smitty) Smith, Jr., of Winters, Conrad Earl Smith of Winters, Bobbie Fry of Winters, Jo Ann Tubbs and husband, Dale of Winters, Peggy Peterson and husband, Roy of Midland, and Jean Peterson and husband, Elmer of Ballinger; one sister, Maxine Wolfe of Toledo, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren and several great- great- grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be: Marcus Tubbs, Skylar Deer, Josh Fry, Jeremy Fry, C. J. Thomason and Jet Thomason. WINTERS FUNERAL HOME WINTERS, TEXAS
