Blondena Hartshorn Sutton, 86, of Parkersburg passed away Jan. 14, 2008, at her home.

She was born April 5, 1921, at Belleville, a daughter of the late Jacob Mentor and Sarah Straight Hartshorn. Blondena was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 14, Bethany White Shrine, Ladies Oriental Shrine, Shrine Patrol, the Clown Club and the Hillbillies Club.

Surviving is her daughter, Phyllis Hargreaves and her husband, Tim, of Belpre; a grandson, Mark Daggett and his wife, MaryAnne, of New Milton, W.Va.; two great-grandchildren, Ian Hissam of Zanesville and Captain Jacob Hina stationed in Iraq; a great-great-granddaughter, Audrianna Hissam; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Sutton; and two brothers, Glenn and Gail Hartshorn.

The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, with Mr. Sterling Ball officiating. Private burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
