Kenneth K. Helman, 71, of Ashland died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights.

He was born June 16, 1942, in Lodi, the son of Carlos and Bertha (née Cook) Helman.

He had been employed at Friction Products in Medina.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Genieve (née Menix) Helman; sons, Donald (Kelly) Helman of Polk and Stacey Helman of Ashland; a granddaughter, Paige; brother, Gary (Monika) Helman of Lodi; and a sister, Ruth Ann Gromley, and her husband, Joseph Baka of Lodi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Mary Jane Helman, who died June 23, 2009.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Roy Winland officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in West Salem Cemetery.
