Mrs. Amelia Lindholm
Galva – Funeral for Mrs. Amelia Anderson Lindholm, 69, former Bishop Hill resident were to be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in Bishop Hill.
Mrs. Lindholm died at 7pm Friday at home of a daughter, Mrs. Hanna Whitaker in Belvidere. The body was brought to Galva Saturday.
Rev. H.J. Derrcks of Bishop Hill, and Rev. C.E. Magnuson of Galva were to be in charge of the funeral rites. Bearers for the service were to be Gilbert Algren Forrest Olson, Victor Tillman, Charles Knapp, Lawrence Nordstrom and Albert Lindstrom. Burial was to be in the Lindholm family lot in the Bishop Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindholm was born 5 Jan 1874 in Winthrop, Minn. One of a family of eight children. When still a child, she moved with her parents to Nebraska. It was there she met and married the late C.A. Lindholm in September 1891. After the couple's marriage they lived in Nebraska, South Dakota and one year in Canada, Illinois, Indiana and then moved to Belvidere where Mr. Lindholm died in January of 1941. She has since made her home with her children. She live in Bishop Hill community from 1920 to 1927.
The decedent was the mother of eight children, seven of whom with four step children survive. Out of her own immediate family of eight, four sisters and two brothers survive.
Surviving Mrs. Lindholm are children: Mrs. Esther Beck Hoquiam, Washington; Carl Victor Lindholm of Galva. Roy Lindholm of Garden Prairie, Mrs. Anna Erickson of Cherry Valley. Mrs. Ella Hartman of Belvidere, Will Lindholm of Clearfield, South Dakota and Mrs. Whitaker of Belvidere, step - children Justus Lindholm of Bishop Hill. Fred and Ed Lindholm of Galva and stepdaughter who lives in the northwest twenty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren
