Wanda was born May 15, 1925, in Johnson County to the late George W. and Luella (Holman) King. She married Wayne N. Ford on July 21, 1946, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 2004, after 57 loving years of marriage.
Wanda is survived by her children, Allen V. (Regina) Ford and Carol J. (Bob) Litteral, both of Trafalgar; and a brother, Dale (Leona) King of Knoxville, Tenn. She will be missed by her five grandchildren, Barry Ford of Indianapolis, Jeffery Litteral of Brown County, Eric Litteral of Shelbyville, Carlene Byrus of Trafalgar and Colleena Duffer of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Bridget Duffer and Kayle Duffer, both of Trafalgar, Hunter Ford of Bicknell and Megan Cunningham of Greenwood; and one great-great grandson.
Wanda was preceded in death by a grandson, Monty Ford; and siblings Emeril "Bud" King, Mildred Duckett and Rovena Stout.
She was a loving wife and homemaker and was a retired sales clerk with Not Just Popcorn in Edinburgh and The Candy Factory. Prior to that, Wanda worked at the Garment Factory in Franklin for more than 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, oil painting, playing Bingo, working on the computer and going to the casino. Wanda loved her family and cherished her time with her grandchildren.
The Rev. David Stevenson will conduct a graveside service at
10 a.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Meredith _ Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown.
