Glenn Alonzo Springer, 69, Wheaton, died (July 28, 1990) at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Missouri Rehabilitation Center, Mount Vernon, after an illness.
Mr. Springer was born Feb. 20, 1921, at Mitchellville, Iowa. He had lived in the Wheaton area for several years. He was a retired aircraft mechanic for Boeing Aircraft, Wichita, Kan. for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Freewill Baptist Church, Rocky Comfort.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Daniel, Neosho, a brother, Roy Springer, Diamond, and two sisters, Rachael Swanger, Derby, Kan., and Loren Widener, San Antonio, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rocky Comfort Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Barton will officiate.
Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. today at McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
