From The Knoxville News Sentinel 26 May 2001--Andrew William Sharp (AW), age 73, of LaFollette, TN, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2001, at LaFollette Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by wife, Mrs. Wilma Summers Sharp, and parents, Andrew and Clara Sharp. He operated a heating and air conditioning business in LaFollette for many years. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church, a Gideon, a Mason, a Shriner, and a Veteran of the US Air Force. Survivors: one daughter, Vicki Sharp of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Betty Faye Sharp Russell of IN, and Frankie Wilson of Strawberry Plains, TN; two brothers, Bill Sammons of Jacksboro, TN and James Sammons of Cincinnati, OH; two grandchildren; special friend, Mark Honaker of LaFollette, TN; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday 8 pm at Walters Chapel with Rev. George Asbury officiating. Interment Sunday 10 am at Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday before the services at Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette, in charge of arrangements.
