Here lies the second son of THOS. BIRD of Farmington. His wife who sleeps by his side was DORCAS, daughter of JOHN NORTON JR. & RUTH MOORE NORTON, all of Farmington. He was one of the first settlers and proprietors of Litchfield and removed to Salisbury about 1748
