Dale Eugene Anderson was born June 28, 1922, in New London, Iowa to Earl Asa and June Geneva Mathews Anderson. He was the only son born to them and the second child. He lived in New London and graduated from New London High School in 1941. He married Lois Elizabeth Eicholtz on May 20, 1948 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. They were blessed with two daughters and a son. The couple divorced in 1974. Dale then married Joye Bess Gresham on Oct. 8, 1983 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. Joye preceded him in death On July 23, 2004. Dale was a self-taught musician. There wasn't an instrument that he couldn't play. He loved to sing the old songs and would sing them at any moment. He loved sharing time and stories with family. He loved to dance and blueberry pie.
