Kathryn Marie Meek, 73, went home to Heaven on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at her home after an extended illness.

Kathryn was born March 24, 1940, on an Easter Sunday in Wanette, the daughter of John L. Rawls and Ruby Marie (Malicoat).

She graduated from Tribbey High School.

She married John Harlan Meek on St. Patrick's Day on March 17, 1958.

Mrs. Meek worked as a homemaker and as a state officer NALCA. She was the first Community Club President of Grove School, Secretary for Oklahoma Association of Letter Carriers Aux. for 20 years, member of the Church of Christ and worshiped at Westside Church of Christ. She loved to travel, loved her children, and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara Ann Miller.

She is survived by her husband, John Meek Sr.; children, Debbie Ned and husband Bruce Sr., Johnny Meek Jr. and wife Barbara, and Tracy Meek; sister, Patricia Bridges and husband Dwayne; grandchildren, Holly Douglas, Jessica Meek, Bruce Ned Jr., John Meek III, Chance Meek, and Katie Ned; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jim Meek and wife Kate; aunt, Hazel Graham.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Tony Haddad, Mark Davis, and all the staff doctors and nurses at Solara Hospital and to all the people of Loving Care Hospice. May God bless you all.
