Rolland was born in Shelton on September 24, 1922, son of the late Frank D. and Lorraine (Zwoyer) Laborie.
He served his country as WWII US Navy Veteran serving during the D-Day Invasion. Rolland worked with his father as an auto mechanic and in 1969 became the owner and operator of Laborie Garage, which he ran until his retirement.
He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and building beautiful stone walls in his free time
He is the beloved father of Paul Laborie and Pamela Zagula, and proud grandfather of Stephanie and Victoria. He was predeceased by a son, Robert Allen Laborie.
