Kathryn Nadine Solomon was born November 27, 1887, near Belle Air, Cooper County, Mo., and died at her home in Calhoun, February 14, 1936, at 10:45 am. She was the daughter of Tillman and Gilla Solomon.
At an early age she was converted to Christianity and joined the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Calhoun church at the time of her death.
In 1908 she was united in marriage to Virgil E. Oswald, who survives with the following children: Mrs. Z.M. Beals and Harold, Edroe and Verne Lee Oswald. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. R.S. Roe; four sisters and five brothers; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and ever ready to help any neighbor in sickness or sorrow, and a willing worker in church and school.
