Funeral services for Einar Enger, 71, formerly of rural Ypsilanti were Tuesday in the North Marion Reformed Church with Rev. VanLeeuwen officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Friday, July 19, 1925 in a Fargo hospital.
Mr. Enger was born May 20, 1914 in Meadow Lake Township, Barnes County, so of Soren and Caroline Enger. He attended school in Leal community and served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. On November 1, 1945 he was married to Rena Van Dyke and they farmed in Meadow Lake Township until retiring because of ill health. In 1980 he moved to Valley City. He had been a member of the North Marion Reformed Church, served as township treasurer for 15 years and had served on the Clark City and Svea School boards. He had also been a director of the North Marion Telephone Company.
Survivors include his wife, six sons, Sherwin, Enderlin; Allen, Ypsilanti; Donald, Valley City; Jeffrey, Randy and Delray, all of rural Marion. One sister, Mrs. Wade Davidson (Clara) and 11 grandchildren. Besides his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers and a son.
