While on a return flight from Utah, B-24J Liberator #42-100050 collided with
fog-shrouded 9,265-foot Mt. Harrison, 35 miles southeast of Burley, Idaho.
The crash killed all nine airmen aboard.
A memorial service was held on 29 July 2004 to dedicate a plaque
honoring those who died.
