April 2010:
James W. Young was erroneously reported on the regimental rolls as having died as a POW at Camp Douglas, near Chicago, Illinois.
In fact, he was exchanged at City Point, Virginia on April 10, 1863 and was admitted to the hospital at Williamsburg, Virginia on April 11, 1863. He had apparently contracted small pox in prison. He was transferred to the smallpox hospital at Peterburg, Virginia, where he died on April 18, 1863. He was interred in Blandford cemetery at Peterburg, Virginia.

The cemetery office reports they have no record of this person and that James Young is not in the cemetery database.
