Elizabeth Odell Adams Fulmer

Elizabeth Odell Adams Fulmer, age 74, born Aug. 31, 1939, in Walker County, Ga., entered into eternal life on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at 12:12 p.m. at her home in Vonore, Tenn.

She was surrounded by her four living daughters, Sonya Hendricks of Maryville, Tenn., Tonya Wiseman of Concord, N.C., Josie Frieser of Charlotte, N.C., Willie Little of West Melbourne, Fla., and granddaughter, Elizabeth Hendricks of Maryville, Tenn. Elizabeth peacefully opened her heavenly blue eyes to look over her girls for the last time as they sang the lyrics "shine on me sunshine, walk with me world, it's a zippity doo da day." Her expression was one of peace and awe. As her soul left her body the room echoed with I love you's, drenched with the overwhelming feeling of loss.

Elizabeth was survived by her husband of 52-years, Chilton Lee Fulmer Jr., four daughters previously named, two sons, Avery Tompkins of New Port Richey, Fla., and Chilton Fulmer III of Cocoa, Fla., 14 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sister, Bernice Moore and brother, Curtis Adams.

Services as follows: Viewing — Friday, Sept. 13 from 6-8 p.m., funeral service — Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. Both are being held at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville, Tenn. Following the funeral service, Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Tenn.

As our matriarch, she was a voice for God and our Savior. She formed the Christian foundation of faith for which we built our family. In her last fleeting moments of life she served as an example for Christ so that we would all know through her blue eyes, heaven is real — of that we have no doubt. Elizabeth Fulmer had brown eyes.
