Sally L. Sever, Holt, age 60, passed away on March 10, 1999. Sally was born on December 5, 1938, Grand Rapids. She was a military wife for 37 years and worked as a Michigan Bell operator for 7 years; was a Medical Assistant for Dr. Cassius Shaft; was an after-school coordinator for the Lansing School District; a Lupus group coordinator; and volunteered with helping kids throughout her life. She received several awards for her distinguished service in the community. Sally was a P.T.A. President for Barnes Avenue School; Booster Club President at J.W. Sexton High School; and was an institutional representative for Lansing Boy Scout Troop #404.

She was preceded by her parents, Robert E. Anderson in 1996 and Frances B. Anderson in 1983. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, SFC Robert L. Sever (Retired); 2 daughters and a son-in-law; and a son and daughter-in-law; 3 grandsons; sister Barbara Bowlin; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. William D. Dobbs of First United Methodist Church of Holland at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, 1999, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel with internment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Arthritis/Lupus Foundation in memory of Sally L. Sever.
