William J. Gorzenski, age 78, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., went home with our Lord on February 2, 2012.

Bill was born in Bay City, Mich. on August 7, 1933, to Peter and Elizabeth (Kosnik) Gorzenski.

He is survived by his children, Mark (Christy) Gorden of Redlands, Calif., Kim (Jennifer) Wittenberg of Georgia, (Jim) Lynne McMullen of Redlands, Calif., and Scott (Ilka) Whittenberg of Mannheim, Germany; eight grandchildren, Kimmy, Eric, Annie, Charly, Nico, Liska, Joanna, and Sam; sisters, Virginia Burkhardt of Villa Park, Calif., and Elizabeth Kerkau of Bay City, Mich.; sister in law, Maryellen Gorzenski of Bay City, Mich.; brother, Tom Gorzenski of Fenton, Mich.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Bill was the owner of "Gorzenski Masonry and Contracting." Bill worked in the masonry field most of his life and was a master mason. Bill knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He visited Poland for many years, staying there for months at a time. He also enjoyed Mexico, two places in particular, San Carlos and Rocky Point. His travels were not limited to just going abroad; he also took many trips across the country over the years. Another one of Bill's passions was cooking. He was a member of the High Desert Pod Chili Cook-off group. Bill was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill was loved by just about everyone he would meet. His list of friends is too great to list here. Suffice to say, "He knew everybody!" (one of his favorite sayings). Bill's humor, generosity, and caring will be sorely missed by everyone.

A Mass celebrating Bill's life will be Saturday, February 18, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
