OBITS. Tennant Funeral Home...Ralph H. "Biggie" Berry, 52, of Hundred, died Monday, March 17, 2003 in the Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. He was born June 28, 1950 at Glover Gap, WV a son of the late Arley Ray Berry and Emma Pearl Berry. Biggie was an employee of the WV Department of Highways in Hundred. He was the former Chief of Police for the town of Hundred and for a number of years ran the town water system and garbage service. He was the owner and operator of Biggie's Bar in Hundred. He served as Fire Chief for the Town of Hundred for many years and was the organizer for the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department Gun Bashes. He was the founder of the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department "Field of Dreams". He was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Littleton Lodge #131 AF & AM of Hundred. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Aaron Briggs of Wileyville; his fiance', Leigh Ann Booth of Hundred; one brother, Albert Berry of Orrville, OH; two sisters and spouses, Shirley and Richard "Rick" Smith of Metz and Sue and Dean Stutler of New Martinsville; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sole and Jean Berry; five brothers, Donald Berry, Charles Berry, James Berry, Roger Berry and Robert Berry.
Friends may call at the Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred from 2-9 PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Thursday with the Evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery near Wileyville. The Littleton Lodge #131 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside services.

He is buried in the Morris-Briggs Cemetery on Allister Ridge. His marker is placed here, maybe because his daughter Teresa was married to Aaron Briggs at the time of death.
