Fort Bend Herald, September 13, 2013:

Lola Blanch Miller-Daniels was born to Calvin and Martha Miller of Fort Bend County, Richmond, Texas on July 9, 1911, 102 years ago, in a small community called the Colony.

Calvin and Martha had four children, Andy, Leroy, Lola, and the late Rev. Calvin Miller II, all of whom preceded her in death.

In the year of 1926, on a Wednesday night, Lola became acquainted with the Lord in a revival at Pleasant Green Baptist Church. She confessed him as her personal Savior, was baptized, and ever since that day she has been on the battlefield working for her Lord.

Precious Memories - In 2009 Lola wrote these words. I, Lola B. Daniels, one of the oldest members and mother of Pleasant Green. I remember a small white church that sat on a hill for a very long time and now it has moved to a new Holy Ground Sight and I hope and pray that this move will lead us to Higher Height!

She leaves to cherish her memories four children, Ernest, Della, Richard (Anna), and Lawrence (Rena); along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, one first cousin, Norine, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist in Sugar Land, with interment following in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
