Military: Civil War: Enlisted as Sgt. in Company I, Vermont 6th Infantry Regiment on 15 Oct 1861. In Oct 1862 was sick in the Hospital at Hagerstown, MD. Discharged Dec 15, 1863 for reenlistment as Veteran Volunteer. Appointed Sergt at re-muster as Veteran in F.G.Butterfield's Co I, 6th VT Infantry. Killed in action 05 May 1864 at Wilderness, VA. d. in Battle of the Wilderness: Source, Fold3
