Son of John B. Junkins and Elizabeth Coy. Married first to his 2C1R Olive Steele in 1901 but the marriage ended in divorce after the death of their three-month-old son Carl James. Married second to Celestine Maud Helin Stephens in San Francisco in 1916. The marriage ended in divorce in 1927. Third marriage to Myrtle Stutzman Cooper in 1933. Spence died just four days after Myrtle.

Obituary:
John Spencer Junkins, 513 Thompson Ave., died Monday, Dec. 26 in the local hospital following an illness of several months. He was born July 27, 1878 in Seward, Pa., the son of the late John B. Junkins and Elizabeth Coy Gilpatrick Junkins. He married Miss Myrtle S. Cooper in Johnstown, Pa. She preceded him in death Dec. 22, this past Thursday. A retired engineer and steel shipbuilder in San Francisco, Calif., Mr. Junkins moved to Ocala 38 years ago from Johnstown, Pa. He was a member of the F&A Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason, Valley of San Francisco. He belonged to the Christian Science Church. There are no immediate survivors. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Roberts Funeral Home. There will be a Christian Science service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory wardens and members of the Masons will have charge of the graveside services.
