Betty Jean Wiley, 75, Meeker, died Friday, Sept. 2, in Shawnee.
She was born May 12, 1930, in Rossville, Okla., the daughter of Wallace D. and Virgie Cornelia (Honeycutt) Armitage.

She married Gilbert Wiley on Jan. 24, 1947, in Lincoln County. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a homemaker.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, one sister; one daughter, Linda Guptill; son-in-law, Michael Austin and granddaughter Barbara Guptill.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Bonnie Wiley of Meeker; daughters and son-in-law, Loretta and Michael Baptista of Meeker and Debra Austin of Meeker; son-in-law, Richard Guptill of Shawnee; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church in Meeker with the Rev. Glen White officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Meeker.
