James Carl Freeland, 56, of Cross, SC, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Tuesday in a Charleston hospital.
His funeral will be 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2013, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, SC. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until the hour of service. Flower will be accepted or memorials may be made to Dial-Murray Funeral Home, 300 W. Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 in order to assist with funeral expenses.
Mr. Freeland was born November 3, 1956,in Statesville, NC, a son of Carl Thomas Freeland and Lottie Mae Upright Freeland Harold. He was of the Baptist faith and a kind person who was loved by everyone. Mr. Freeland enjoyed working around his home and at one time enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Surviving are, his wife, Charlene "Charlotte" Holder Freeland; three daughters, Sharon Austin of Cross, Shenelle Jimenez and Shanna Jimenez both of Statesville, NC; three sisters, Barbara Kiser and her husband, Boady, Margaret Gover and her husband, Jimmy, and Renee Harold all of Statesville, NC; one brother, Tommy Freeland of Statesville, NC; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
