Effingham- Delbert B. Ballard, 76, of Effingham died at 5:17 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 1994, at Memorial Medical Center Springfield.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham.
Mr. Ballard was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Bible Grove, the son of Andrew and Lena (Cogswell) Ballard. He married Marguerite Loy.
He was a retired painter; a member of First Baptist Church Effingham; and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his sons, Delbert of Irving, Texas, Dan of Tower Hill, Gary of Bentonville, Ark., Larry of Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Mrs. Ed (Virginia) Hakman of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Richard (Glenna) McDaniels of Midlothian; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
