Lenora Carol Hill, 72, of Crow Agency, passed away Sept. 10, 2013, in the Awe Kualawaache Care Center.

Red Leggings "Balaitch Kiish Baalo H'isshe," a name given to her by her grandfather White Arm, was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Crow Agency, a daughter of Leonard Pretty Weasel Sr. and Winona Faye Walking Bear Iron. Her aunts, Mildred Old Crow, Corma Pretty Weasel and Genevieve "Nappie" Conger raised her. In 1958, she graduated from Lodge Grass High School. She received a secretarial degree from a college in California and later studied at the Billings Business College. Lenora worked as a realty clerk for the Crow Agency Bureau of Indian Affairs.

She attended the First Crow Indian Baptist Church, was a member of the Whistling Water Clan and was a Ties the Bundle child. She loved to bake, loved all animals, especially cats. She was a staunch politician who loved Crow politics.

Her parents, sisters Gail and Miriam Iron, brothers Leonard Lumont Pretty Weasel Jr. and Leland Walking Bear preceded Lenora in death.

Survivors include her sons Corey Pretty Weasel, Duane (Richard Soucy) and James (Elena) Kindness Jr.; her adopted daughter Carolyn Friendshuh; her adopted sons Patrick Kindness and Forrest Hudson; her sisters Linda (Manuel) Covers Up, Sarah (Tilton Old Bull) Pretty Weasel, Virjama (Gerry) Plain Bull, Katrina Cleveland, Lauren (Scott) Medicine Horse, Roxanne Old Crow, Alice and Suzanne Iron; her brothers Larry (Agnes) and Leon (Carolyn) Pretty Weasel, Michael and Frank Iron Jr., Sterling Waton, Scott Russell, Craig Old Crow and Leo (Janice) Hudetz; numerous nieces and nephews; her aunt Delma Fox; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well has her extended family including the Pretty Weasel, Shane, Jefferson, Williamson, Howe, Doyle, Takes Enemy, Dust, Bear Ground, Walking Bear, Kindness, Old Crow, Medicine Crow, Whiteman, Yellowtail and Fitzpatrick families. Our family is large; if we have missed you, please accept our apology.

We wish to thank the Awe Kualawaache Care Center Staff and the Frontier Cancer Center staff in Billings for all of their loving care.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Crow Agency Multi-Purpose Center.

Interment will follow in the Lodge Grass Cemetery.
